Nelson De La Rosa was born in June,
1968.
Height
2' 4¼" (0.72 m)
In 1990, certified by the Guiness Record Book, he was
the smallest man on the earth.
When he was first examined in 1987, he weighed 15 lbs,
his chest was 17½", and his waist 16". By the time
of the filming of The Island of Dr. Moreau he weighed 22 lbs.
He never actually has been the shortest man alive - even
though he was credited as such - since Gul Mohammed (1957-1997) of Indian
was measured at 1'10½" in 1990, and the current recordholder
is 2'2½" Lin Yu-Cheh (b. 1973) of Taiwan
Nelson is, however, the world's shortest actor.
